Delegates

On October 31^st and November 1^st, pastor Carrie Bail and our delegates, Ralph and Elinor Herne, traveled to the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ Annual Meeting, at the Crowne Plaza in Worcester, MA.  Saturday’s meeting included several topics.  The keynote speech was given by Rev. Martin Copenhaver.  The second part of the day was spent discussing resolutions.  The first proposition was to ask the church to create an “Innocence Commission” for the state penitentiary system.  This resolution was tabled to allow for further discussion.  The more successful resolution was to sell Werner Farm in Cummington, MA.  Family descendants have the right of first refusal, but an offer has already been made by Rev. Richard Fournier to run the property as a retreat center.
