Here you will find information about weddings (gay and straight), commitment ceremonies, baptisms, confirmation, becoming a member of the church, and holding memorial or funeral services at our church. You do not need to be a member to request or participate in any of these rituals.
Weddings
A church wedding is first and foremost a service of worship, celebrating a sacred covenant between the partners, “an honorable estate, instituted of God, and signifying the mystical union which exists between Christ and the Church.” While it is appropriate that the wedding service reflect the interests and needs of the couple, the service should also conform to certain standards of Christian faith and worship.

Baptism
Anyone of any age can be baptized at our church. We recognize all Christian baptism, and so if you have already been baptized you cannot be “re-baptized.” We will be glad to accept you as a member. Baptisms are usually held publicly, during the regular Sunday worship service. If infants or children are to be baptized we usually require that the family be active participants in the life of our church.
Confirmation
The Pastor teaches our Confirmation Class. Most teens make their confirmation at the end of their 9th grade year, but unconfirmed older teens are welcome to participate in the class too. Adult members are usually not received by confirmation. E-mail the Pastor if you are interested in being confirmed.
