Summer is my favorite time of year in the Berkshires. Between the pristine days and the culture-packed nights, I can’t imagine a better place to spend the season. Mark’s summer sermons, tied to the culture on view in the region, greatly enhance the art offerings. Hoping you will be in town enough to take advantage of his “Art and Soul” series in the next few months.
While things seem to slow down for summer, Ministry Team activity continues. In particular our 250th Capital Campaign Committee is busy contacting members in the next few weeks. With work on the kitchen slated to begin in October after the tag sale and ABC sale have wrapped for the year, the committee’s goal is to finalize pledges before September 1st,. If you have already pledged or donated Thank You, your commitment is greatly appreciated. If you haven’t already heard from a member of the committee, you will soon and we are grateful for your consideration.
On the Tag Sale front, we are grateful to the many, many volunteers who braved the elements on the pick up days at the end of the semester and to those who helped sort and box all the items and then moved all those items and boxes downstairs. I’d be remiss if I didn’t remind you that there is always work to be done on the Tag Sale. There are many simple tasks you can help with when you have some spare time this summer. Jody Green, Annie Parkman, or Cynthia Payne can find the perfect job for you whether you have a few hours or many days to spare!
Thanks in advance for your help with the Capital Campaign and with the Tag Sale.
