Here at First Church our Youth Group starts with students in 6th grade. The group meets every Sunday following the 10 am service.
The Rainbow Dance is back!! FCC will once again host this Valentine’s dance for Berkshire County lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered, questioning, and straight teens on Friday, February 10 from 7-9 pm. Our partners in this enterprise are Live Out Loud (a Pittsfield-based social-support group for youth who identify as LGBTQ and their allies), the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition, the Williams College Queer Student Union, and Java Jive (Schuyler Jones will design disco lighting and host as DJ). What we need from FCC folks: food and beverages (just finger foods and any kind of teen-friendly drinks—with plenty of water bottles, please!) and chaperones/food organizers. We’ll also be looking for clean-up help between 9:30 and 11:00 p.m. that night.
