Bridge Pastor

This is a bridge pastor position to provide basic pastoral services as this congregation seeks to call a designated term minister and will work with the congregation to receive the same.

Commitment

● Three-quarter-time (30 hours per week), per SNEUCC clergy compensation guidelines

● Duration will be up to six months or until the congregation calls a designated term pastor, whichever is less.

● The covenant with the bridge pastor can be dissolved with 30 days notice by either party.

Basic Pastoral Service

● Prepare and lead Sunday worship, three times monthly.

● Member visitation, both home and institutional settings

● Funerals and memorial service

● Supervise staff

● Attend church leadership meetings

● Attend to basic building management and church administration

● Communication with congregation

● Representing the congregation in denominational meetings

● Preside over special services as they arise

● Offer support and guidance to lay worship leaders

● Prepare the congregation for the next interim pastor or Designated Term Minister, working with the Pastoral Search Team
