Christa Tinari is an international trainer, author and program developer specializing in the skills needed to create a more just and peaceful world. For over twenty-five years, she has brought peace education, social-emotional learning (SEL), and processes for trauma-informed resilience and healing to over 50,000 students, parents, educators, counselors and social service professionals. In the K-12 educational sector, she taught teachers-in-training at Temple University; created and directed The Peaceful Schools Institute; coached educators on-site at schools in Canada, Colombia, Chile, India,
Ukraine, and Romania; and implemented SEL in over 40 countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Whether working with local organizations, such as the community prevention coalitions, or with international non-profits such as Musicians without Borders, Christa aims to build capacity for the social good. Her volunteer work has focused on immigrant rights, interfaith understanding, racial justice, nonviolent movement-building, and animal and environmental protection. Christa holds degrees in Psychology and International Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and is currently
completing a doctorate in Global Educational Leadership. She moved to North Adams in the summer of 2023 and recently joined the Greylock Together community.
