Upstander Skills Mini Workshop

April 30 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

UPSTANDER SKILLS MINI WORKSHOP

Have you ever witnessed harassment or a bias-based remark and felt unsure about how to respond? These kinds of situations can happen at work, school, in the community, or even amongst your family or friends. The good news is that, with the right preparation, anyone can be an effective upstander!

Christa Tinari of North Adams, will offer a short version of the training, How to Be A Community Upstander, on April 30, from 7-8:30 pm at First Congregational Church in Williamstown. This training will provide an overview of 8 strategies that will help you be a responsible bystander by safely “stepping up” in the face of everyday injustice. If you want to reinforce the norms of equity and inclusion and create a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone in our community, plan to attend this training.
This event is free of charge, and is appropriate for ages 16-99. Donations will be accepted to support the efforts of the Immigration Rapid Response Team.
Christa Tinari is an international trainer, author and program developer specializing in the skills needed to create a more just and peaceful world.
